ABOUT

Somnium is an artist project by Tara Howe

In a time when meaning is often diluted by ‘mass’, the sentiment of jewellery has grown to be something deeply special to me. It has always been a medium of history. Holding legacy, wealth, milestones, migration, and culture. Jewellery is tangible memory. I enjoy the seriousness of creating something enduring and valuable, whilst simultaneously the lightness of curiosity and exploration. I grew up around farmland and the south coast, always muddy, always collecting, home is outside. A big part of my work is immortalising the earth's memory, delivered through its forms, and balancing them with my other loves of brutalist and mid century design.

Somnium seeks to create ethically and sustainably, committing to donating 2% of all online sales to 'Bush Heritage Australia'.

Abhay Mankoti is an artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, whose passion for music and sound radiates through everything he creates. Abhay describes his music as a balance between light and dark, blending dreamy, organic atmospheres with deep, brooding techno - an expression of his identity as a curious wanderer exploring the interplay of power and softness, surrender and strength.
