Inspired by traditional bolos, the Classic Bolo collection combines the quality and style of the past with clean, understated designs of today. The Mother Mary Bolo Tie is a one of one, hand carved piece - inspired by the religious imagery and craftsmanship of Italy.
 
Every Bolo includes a sleek steel wall hook - to display your new piece, and a high quality polishing cloth. 
 
Handcrafted start to finish by one set of hands - From start to completion, the process takes around three weeks. This piece is ready to ship. 
 
Included/ Sustainability - 1 x Stainless steel hook for decorative hanging, a high quality polishing cloth, and a care card. Our box and tape are 100% compostable, our internal packaging has been reused and the 100% cotton bag is made to be kept. 
 
Bolo Creation Process
The journey begins with a sketch, followed by hand-carving the centrepiece and ends in wax , with special initials or dates carefully stamped into the wax.
 
All three components are then cast in sterling silver. Once cast, each piece is hand-finished: irregularities are ground down, surfaces are refined through about eight stages of sanding, and then polished to a brilliant shine. Finally, a strong cowhide leather cord is threaded through and the silver ends are attached.
